Peighton and I look forward to baking sugar cookies every year and of course decorating them!
This year we used my friend, Kathie's Sugar cookie recipe.
It's super yummy.
Reminds me very much of the fabulous cookies from the Kalona Bakery.
If you've ever been there you know what I'm talking about!
We also made Kathie's royal icing recipe that dries hard and shiny on top of the cookies....another similarity to Kalona Bakery cookies....
She needed a bit of purple frosting, of course.
And lots of sprinkles!
He likes to think he's helping...
We had a great morning of baking and decorating and making lots of memories!
