Pig Showin' Fools!

We had a great Saturday showing pigs in Vinton!

Peighton was a busy girl.
She did dance camp all morning and then we shot up to Vinton to show her pigs!
She missed showmanship but made it in time for the rest of the show.

Bubba did awesome in showmanship even though I missed it!
He managed to get penned and go back in for a second round!

He is the cutest little pig showman ever!

It's always nice to find friends at pig shows!
These two are quite a hoot!

Jelly needed a little motivation to get out of the pen!
He did NOT want to go!

It was a great day for our first outing!
We can't wait for the next one!

Good thing Grandma saved all my old costumes!!!!!

Peighton spent an afternoon trying on lots of my old dance costumes!
She LOVED it.
Good thing Grandma Sue saved them!

Most were too big but she found quite a few to dance around in!

There were some interesting accessories!

This one fit the best and she wore it the rest of the day.

She was not overly fond of the feathers!

She loves pictures with Cy.

Anything that was twirly or with a skirt was also a fave.

More feathers-she couldn't wait to take this one off!!!!!

She had so much fun!
They are all now in the playroom and she puts them on whenever she gets a chance!

The babies went to preschool!

It reminded me of "Mary Had a Little Lamb,"
but it was more like
"Preston had a Little Calf."

Preston's wonderful preschool teacher is doing a unit on life cycles.

Life cycles of bugs, animals, etc.

She asked if perhaps the twin calves could make the trip to school!
I had to make sure Dustin would be home to help...I don't drive the trailer...

So, one afternoon last week we loaded up those babies and headed to school!
It was quite a treat getting them on the trailer-they did NOT appreciate it!

Preston LOVED that they came to school.
I think this will be one of those moments that he talks about for a long time.

"Remember that time when we took the calves to school...when can we do that again, Mom??"

It was certainly a great experience for Preston and all his classmates.
There were some great questions.

One kid did want to milk them though, so we still have some work to do.

Beast was a really good sport and let the kids do pretty much whatever they wanted to!

I took along bottles and let the kids feed them.
It was probably the highlight of the visit!

This sweet friend told me "I think I need a cow."

It was a great afternoon sharing animal agriculture with some sweet kids!

Another show under her belt.

It was a BEAUTIFUL weekend for a cattle show!

One of Peighton's biggest fans.

A trailer ramp makes a great place to play trucks and tractors.

She likes to pose.

Peighton and Elsa did a great job in the ring.

Still can't see much of the little girl over the heifer!

She gets better each time!

It was a great day showing Elsa, playing with friends and having fun!
