First days of fun in Orlando!

It was a VERY early morning for our flight out of Cedar Rapids but these two were awesome.

 

 

Preston looked out the window for the entire first flight.

They both are truly excellent travelers.

 

Four little monkeys sitting in the back of the van.

They were all looking for alligators on the way to the hotel.

 

These four had an awesome time hanging out in the hotel each day!

There was lots of giggling, running, and playing with tractors.

 

We had dinner at the Rainforest Café that night and took a few pictures with the alligator.

 

Staying by Downtown Disney was really fun.

We walked across the street each day and found lots of great things to do.

 

The next morning all the kids had an appointment at the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique.

We took a few more pictures on the way there.

 

The Lego Store was one of our favorite things to visit.

They all loved the Lego people.

 

Preston was super impressed with the Lego dog!

 

Peighton loved the dragon in the water.

 

 

 

There was a random dinosaur that everyone needed to touch too.

 

These two had so much fun just being boys.

 

The boys got a knight makeover complete with a sword and shield and tons of confetti in his hair.

 

 

 

I'm guessing this is the last time I will ever get him to do something like this. ;-)

 

But the sword and shield were totally worth it!!!!!

 

They both enjoyed it and spent the rest of the week slaying dragons!

 

 

Peighton's makeover took a lot more time and hairspray!

 

She LOVED every bit of it!

 

 

Everyone needs a little fairy dust!

 

Even though I was pulling hard for the classic Cinderella dress, she picked Elsa, of course.

 

After everyone's makeovers we headed to Magic Kingdom.

This boy LOVED all the rides!

He is definitely going to be my future roller coaster buddy!

 

Everyone enjoyed the Buzz Lightyear ride.

 

We made a very bad decision to ride the People Mover in Tomorrowland...and we got stuck on it when the ride stopped!!!!!

We had to wait for a LOOOOOOONG time for a "cast member" to rescue us.

I may never ride the People Mover again.

I have no idea how long we were there but it seemed like forever with 4 kids!

 

Peighton loved meeting all the princesses.

 

It was a fantastic day...until we got caught in a downpour.

The most magical place on earth is NOT very magical when it's pouring!!!!

But we still had fun!



Christmas fun!

Our Christmas break started a day early when Peighton had to miss her last day of school with  fever and sore throat.

Then the next day, Bubba caught it.

There were a lot of trips to the doctor but we didn't let it ruin our fun!

We ended up with 3 out of the 4 of us on anitbiotics!

 

 

They couldn't wait to dump out their stockings and find what Santa brought!

 

He was super excited about his shaving kit.

 

Bubba was still on the mend here as you can see in his eyes.

 

They found a note by the tree telling them to check the garage-the elves couldn't get it in the house.

Checking to see if there's anymore presents under there!

 

We added quite a bit to her doll house!

 

Even Cy got a few presents!

 

Bubba liked MY new camping chair!

 

She got her very own sewing machine.

 

Preston complained that he was getting hot....from the FAKE fireplace playing on the TV!!!!

 

After we opened presents it was time to try out the 4 Wheeler.

 

Peighton did great.

She's had quite a few driving lessons from Grandpa on the big Gator.

 

Preston concerned me a bit more.

I rode on the back for his first few laps-it was SCARY!!!!

He likes to go full speed and didn't turn all that well.

 

We've practiced quite a bit more with all the nice weather and he is now a great driver.

He has plans to go check deer stands with Dustin on his own 4 Wheeler now!

We all had a great Christmas!
