Leaves, Pumpkins, and trick or treating

Peighton BEGS Grandma Sue to rake up her leaves every fall so they can jump in them.
Grandma Sue is the only one with big enough trees with plenty of leaves to rake up!

We found an afternoon that was fairly nice and got together for fun in the leaves!

This was about the only place that all four of them stood still for more than 2 seconds!

There was lots of running....

and giggling.

We took a break from the leaves for a snack and carving Grandma's pumpkins.
The girls took one.

And the boys did the other.
Then we headed back out for one more round in the leaves.

This would have been a great picture...if Hayden weren't eating a stick. ;-)

They all had fun and I think only one of them got their head sat on in the leaves.

On Friday, they got to dress up in their costumes for school.
Preston was super excited to finally have a "real" Halloween party!
I was excited that I got to go to both of their parties for lots of Halloween fun!

No idea what Spiderman is doing here....I'm guessing he was cold.

We had to move inside for more pictures.

Spidey loved his muscles.

He shot me a few times with his web.

Not sure what this pose was but it's pretty funny.

Queen Elsa played the part quite well.

After some Jack-o-lantern pizza we headed to town for trick or treating!

We found Olaf at Grandma Pat's house!

After a quick picture with Grandma Pat and Grandpa Marvin we were off for some very cold trick or treating!

Trick or treating with these four is like herding cats.
It was quite fun and we all laughed a lot....there was fighting over whose turn it was to ring the doorbell...there was crying over not being able to eat EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF CANDY...but mostly there was lots and lots of laughing.
Can't wait until we do it all again next year!

We grew a Jack-o-lantern!

WE LOVE FALL!!!!
It was so fun to use our own pumpkins for all our fall stuff this year.
(And much cheaper too!)

The potato head pumpkins are a must-do.

They each chose one of our big pumpkins to carve.

Not sure why they both did the same thing for a picture!

Peighton made sure hers was missing a few teeth!
We will definitely be planting our own pumpkins again next year!

A day at the Pumpkin Patch!

At the beginning of October we took a trip to the pumpkin patch.
We love going to Harvestville Farms!

Peighton wants one of these in the barn.
Not a bad idea!

They made Dustin get on one of these scooters.

Then they had a race!

The kids also thought I had to try it out-it's harder than it looks!

A little grocery shopping was done.

And a little bouncing.

They have the BEST corn pit!

My favorite part was racing the kids on the tricycles!

We all hopped on!

It was quite a race with lots of giggles!

There was more than one wreck...all by Peighton...but it was super fun!

We took a hay ride...must have been a little bright for Preston.

We took one last ride on the tire horse and then had to head home.
What a great day at the pumpkin patch!

Farming Time!

The kids both love riding in the combine with Grandpa Steve.

Preston has told me more than once "There is no room for you, Mommy."
So, he packs a bag with snacks and drinks and a few tractors and off he goes with Grandpa.

Buddies.

After he was done in the combine, we hopped in the semi with Jerry!
Waiting for the semi to be filled was a little less action that he is used to.
He had his tractors all over the floor, a few ears of corn and we shared donut holes too while we waited.
But once it was full and we headed down the highway he LOVED that Jerry used the air horn about 10 different times!
We gave Grandma a good long honk when we pulled into the office where she was working!
Preston thought that was pretty funny.

Peighton got out early that afternoon so we headed back out to let her ride with Grandpa.
While we waited we did a lot more farming in the dirt.

We had a great day riding in the combine, the semi, helping Grandma Sue take lunches out, picking up some down corn and we even got to hop in the grain cart!
A great day for Bubba!
