Too cold to go outside....

It is MUCH too cold to go outside today...or any day lately.

 

So, Preston and I decided to bring the snow INSIDE!!!!

 

Dustin's laundry room has a drain in the middle of the floor which makes it the PERFECT place to do this!

 

 

 

Preston LOVED it.

 

We put tractors, cows, a bucket and a bunch of bugs in it.

He moved snow just like he sees his Daddy doing.

 

Eventually, he went and found his snow gloves because his hands got cold.

 

Seriously, best idea we've had in a long time!

 

It's a bit of a science experiment too.

He keeps going back to check on it and see how much has melted.



Sleddin' in the Country

It FINALLY snowed "a whole bunch!"

 

 

These two were so excited to get out there and enjoy it.

 

Bubba is finally big enough to stay on the sled by himself.

 

They LOVE sledding behind the 4-wheeler.

Even when they get dumped off.

 

We also did a little hill sledding...but he was NOT a fan of dragging it back up!

 

Peighton could ride ALL DAY if her face didn't get cold!

She needs a face mask.

 

Preston decided to quit going down the hill and just ride along by this time.

 

Occasionally they do a few rounds together...but there are WAY more spills with both of them on there!

 

They even help with snow removal sometimes!

 

We are going to spend the next few days just LOOKING at the snow since it's going to be about 20 BELOW zero here.

Lots of time for inside craftiness and projects!

 

 



Winter F-U-N!!!!

We went from playing in the puddles a few weeks ago to playing in the snow again!

 

It was a really nice day to play in the snow with no wind and it wasn't super cold either-my kind of playing in the snow!!!!!

 

 

The kids got an inflatable sled for Christmas and we finally got to use it!

 

Peighton could sled all day.

 

 

I LOVE Preston's face in this picture!

He looks like he is planning something...

 

When he walks up the hill he looks like he is climbing a mountain.

 

We also took a little walk along the trees and looked for animal tracks.

 

Peighton never misses an opportunity to pose... ;-)

 

Then we had to go check on the newest additions to our house.....3 kitties!

They live out in the barn with "Heifer," as Preston calls her.

 

We have:

Cupcake

Slick

and Giddy-Mow-Mow. (My personal favorite.)

 

This would be Giddy-Mow-Mow.

He is the friendliest so far and the kids like to follow him around!
