Happy Halloween!

We squeezed in a little pumpkin carving just in time for Halloween!

They decided we needed to use cookie cutters on their pumpkins this year.
We had to get out multiple tools to assist the process and I'm pretty sure we ruined a few cookie cutters!
But we had fun!

Peighton did not want a traditional jack-o-lantern and just hammered shapes into hers.
I think she liked the hammering.

Charlie the cat joined us for some pictures too.

Two little Minions

Peighton decided to be a Cowgirl at school for Halloween and a Minion with Preston for Trick or treating!

While I was at Target Thursday I happened to find the Minion's Fart gun.
We had to have one, I knew it would make Preston giggle!

They practiced shooting each other many times.

I love Preston's face!

Even though the weather was yucky we still had lots of fun!

Happy Halloween!

We've carved our pumpkins, made Halloween cookies and done some pumpkin crafts!
We are ready for Halloween!

Preston was very serious about his pumpkin carving.

Getting a good picture of the two of them is always a challenge!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

A Farewell to Fall....and Halloween a little bit late...

It's cold.
To me, that means Fall is almost over and Winter is about to set in.
I really like Fall but it can't last forever!

We have enjoyed the past few weeks of "warm-ish" weather by playing in the leaves one last time, carving pumpkins, making fun Halloween food and of course Trick or Treating!
(If you ask Preston though it's "Licky-Leat.")

He was "sleeping" in the leaves.

Mummy Dogs!
We wrapped breadsticks around cocktail weinies-the kids thought these were fantastic.

No Fall is complete without a few Jack-O-Lanterns!

Trick or Treat time!
My Princess and the Frog duo were adorable.

We went trick or treating with Spiderman too but I think he was off saving the world and was too busy for a picture.
Or he was just being stubborn...one of the two.

Tiana and Spiderman thought they had to race each other to the door because they wanted to be the first to ring the doorbell.

Preston tried to keep up...but his legs are kinda short.

Another wonderful Fall for the Fords.
Can't wait to see what fun Winter brings!

A day at the "Punk-O" Patch

It has become a yearly tradition to make a trip to the Pumpkin Patch.
Preston calls it the "punk-O" patch.

We tried a new one this year and it was fabulous!

We went to Bloomsbury Farm in Atkins.
SO MUCH FUN.

Peighton's favorite part was the pig races and I'd have to agree.
Preston loved the corn pit.

All ready to go!

They look kinda scared in this picture!

The big wooden tractor was a highlight for Preston.

There was a fun little train to ride on that everyone loved!

And what is a pumpkin patch without a pit of corn!?!?!

This boy loved it.

You can imagine the scene that happened when it was time to get out though.....;-)

Of course, we picked out a few pumpkins before we left.
Preston was determined to pick up a big one.

And he had to haul it in his own wagon.
He was doing great until Katy put a HUGE pumpkin in!

Such a fun day!

Now we just need to carve our pumpkins and put them on the porch!

Spiderweb Pancakes

Friday mornings are pretty fun at our house.

We don't have school or dance or gymnastics or anything really!

So, that means we get up and make something fun for breakfast and stay in our jammies for awhile.

Peighton loves it and I think we both look forward to it.

Today, we tried out spiderweb pancakes!
Super simple and super fun!

I've seen it all around "blog-land" lately so I don't really know who thought it up but that was one smart mama!
I even saw one picture using a plastic spider on top of the pancakes! CUTE!
Wish we had some spiders!!!

We dyed our pancake batter orange with food coloring.
Then we had some random green glittery squeeze frosting in the pantry so of course that's what Peighton chose.
It worked out pretty good.
I also tried out Hershey's syrup.

Peighton approved of both and liked helping do the spiderwebs!

Preston also thought they were pretty good and had eaten most of his by the time I got the camera!

Fridays are FUN at our house!
